My first OPAM Project.

Hello, Hello, Hello

I truely hope you're all well and taking some time out to explore your creative side.
I have..Hehehe...
I brought some jaguar print that was on special, took it home.
and started sewing my first OPAM..

I made this cute brooch cushion, a pattern you can find on a blog called "Our Shabby Cottage"  .  I added some vanilla scent to the polly fill before filling to add that extra special touch...
This is a 14" cushion with ruffles around all edges...I sewed a loose stitch then sat on the couch watching one of my favorite show's, CSI and a couple more, pulling the string...

This is a 14"x21" pillow with ruffles sewn only on the the sides...
I had some plain pillow cases that just happened to be the same colour cream I was using, so I sewed a strip of the jaguar print to match..

This is the set together.
And I still have some material left over to add to my Jaguar collection.
Hummmm, what to make next?

I have started my next OPAM for March.  I saw my creative friend working on her's and loved it and wanted to have a go at trying & applying the same technique.
Here is a sneak preview..

Thank you for dropping by..
Big smiles to all,

'Loving the Sun'

Hello :-)

Thank you for dropping by to take a look at my blog...
It's been a fantastic week for me..I love it when the sun's out...It inspires me to do some gardening....After all the rain we have had...It's hard to keep up wth the maitenance..Everything is growing so fast....My poor vegetables are very confused with the weather pattern...I am growing plants that wouldn't normally grow this time of the year....But hey, I'm loving it cause I get to do more seedlings and watch my garden grow....
Sarah my 6 year old and I went to bunnings just for dirt and walked out with plants, pots, sunflower seeds and the dirt....That store to me is like Spotlight...You only go in for one thng and end up leaving with much more.....Do I feel guilty?.....Absolutely not cause I love what I do and if I can inspire at least one of my children to be like me, what could be better...LOL
Unfornately I seem to be having trouble uploading photos...My beans is all I can show you...  :-(
School went back yesterday...A bit silly, going back to school on a Friday when its the weekend and their off again..
My son Maison is not happy to go back...He can be a very negative boy and takes all my effort to try and get him to see and think in a more positive way...
Just incase you don't know, Maison suffers from Sleep Apena.....He not long had an operation on the cartligde of the nose as it was all bent  causing breathing difficulties....He has a sleep study test coming up on the 29th Feb...I really hoping there has been some improvement...If not he's back onto the C-pap machine...
As you could imagine...Not getting enough sleep makes an angry boy...

For the next two weeks, I have been asked to fill in at the Kindergarten.  Yippie!  One of the teacher's broke her hand...Not good for her but good for me..Can't wait to meet the next group of 4's...They are so cute at that age...

Did you notice the OPAM button on my sight?
I am pleased to say. I have joined this years OPAM with Peg  'Happy In Quilting' and Kris 'Tag Along Teddies'....
Should be a good way to finish off some UFOs....

Well that it for now...Oh hang on..I haven't finished...
We've have had some wild weather lately..Please stay safe and continue to smile :-) :-)
Hugs all round...
