Oh what fun I've had this week....I brought a stencil book at a bargin price once when shopping...As I usually do, I put the book on the book shelf and sort of forgot about it...It wasn't until I was looking for something else I came across the book again...
As I was looking at the stencil book, a few ideas started popping into my creative little brain....I wanted to make some Thank-you cards for the children who came to Sarah's birthday, but I wanted them to look crafty and exciting.... This is what I came up with:
I stenciled three different colored flowers using the same stencil....
I then wrote a little thank-you note over the flower and gave it a soft wash with glitter added to the paint and brushed over the top of the whole card...
Because the cards were for the kiddies, I had put their first intial above the flower...
On the back of the card I had put one color and a little wash color over the top..
I then used a star stencil and stipple in a lighter color as a background..
Also on the back of the card I pasted a photo of each child....
To finish it off I put a hole through the top of the intial and put a tie on so the children can hang them up at home....
They were so excited when Sarah gave out the cards...Even the teachers were impressed....
