Hello To All You Wonderful People Out There
It has been a huge few weeks for me,
But firstly can I say, Thank you to Shelley Hobbs from Wickedly Divine Creations.. I popped over to have a look at Shelley's blog and was amazed at the effort she had put into making her block stand out... I am always up for a change whether it be my hair, clothes, a holiday or kids that get a long (LOL) but also a blog change..So I asked Shelley how she did it and she kindly sent me some links to look at...
As you can see, I have used some clip art from 'Cute 'n' Cool' and if you drop by 'Shabby Blogs' you'll also find some great lables...Another great site is 'Hugs Graphics and Comments for Friendster'...It's my favorite site to visit...
As most of you know, the craft show was recently here in Victoria...An event in which my patch girls and I save up our pennies for, cause for us it's like putting a child in a lollie store...There are so many things to choose from and if I could I would buy everything, it's all great..
However, being the responsible person I am (LOL), I brought only what I needed....Would love to show you a pic of my goodies but I don't have a camera at the moment... :-(
I visited my favorite store, The Craft Cubby who do alot of Gollys of all sorts...I have collect the first Gollyville quilt and am seriouly thinking of getting the second Gollyville quilt...they said that there will be a third but no more after that....They also said they only made about 2000 of these quilts and I'm number 208...
I also collect the Golly pins...There are eight altogether...Every year we go to the show and every year I forget to write down what pins I have...So when we approach the store to get my pins, I turn to my friend Tracey with a strange look on my face and she say's, "You forgot again didn't you".... It's always pot luck...Fortunately I have a good memory and pick the one I didn't have....Just one more pin and I have the whole collection.....
Whoop Whoop cause I'm really happy about it.....hehehe
My patch buddie took a photo of me holding this gorgeouse teddy bear...
It's on my list for next year....Just hope there not too hard to make.... :-)
I'm going to tell you a little bit about my son Maison....
Since he was a baby he always had breathing problems....As he got a little older he would suffer from croop really bad and at one point was given steriods to help him...Then when he was 5 he was put into hospital to have his tonsils and adnoids taken out....
I thought this was fantastic because he was still having breathing problems and he started to have nightmare sleeps, sleep walking and seriously freaking out...It would take me such a long time to settle him down...When he finally woke up he would be really upset, cause he didn't know what he was doing and why he was feeling the way he did...He would be very confused..
It got to a point where he didn't want to go to school and he wasn't concentrating...He put on heaps of weight and become very depressed and emotional...At night when he slept, I would count how many seconds he would hold his breath and then he would choke while trying to get it back...During the day he is always breathing through his mouth...
Something was not right and I wanted to get to the bottom of it...The ENT Doc, sent him to a sleep centre where he was finally diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea...
He then had to be put on a C-pap machine to help him breath...He found it hard wearing a mask and would wake up with red, puffy eyes...
Again off to the doctors to find that Maison has a 'Septoplasty', meaning, the cartlige in his nose is bent to one side...Great I thought, now what?????
To help my boy breath, my only option was to go for surgery...We have been on the waiting list for quiet some time and finally a letter to come in for a pre-op....We go down to the pre-op only to be told they don't want to do it at that hospital, that it's to risky and he needs to go to another hospital that is better equip...They say my son needs to be in ICU for the first night cause it's a danger for him cause of the Sleep Apnoea..
Great, back on the waiting list for another hospital...You would think they would know his condition by now and send him to the right hospital......Grrrrrrrr
I am pleased to say, I have now got a job at my daughter's old kindergarten....At the moment I do fill in's when someone can't work but am hoping and praying that someday it will be more...It's the best job, cause I can still be here for my children...
So, that's it for this week...I think...I know I have heaps more to talk about but I don't want to bore you anymore...hehehe..
Enjoy your week and thank you so much for stopping by my blog...
Cheers,
